How should you share the PDF password safely?
Do not put the password in the same email as the attachment. Use a call, SMS, or password manager share link. If the recipient loses the password, SortMyFile cannot recover the file — encryption is local and intentional.
What PDF password protection does not protect against?
A PDF password stops casual opening. It is not a substitute for full enterprise DRM, and determined attackers with the file may still attempt offline attacks on weak passwords. Use long, unique passwords.
How do you unlock a PDF later if you know the password?
